Lisa Nicole Lopes was 30 years old. On April 25th, 2002, she was taken away from this world.
In April 2002, TLC had finished recording their 4th album. After working very hard, Lisa went to Honduras with her family... Let's say she shouldn't have gone there... because she never came back.
On April 26th, 2002... every TLC fans, especially Left Eye fans' worst nightmare were on the news... In the night of April 25th, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died in a car crash in Honduras.
I remember when I learned the news, I actually learned it on internet on a Message Board. It was 12pm on April 26th. I couldn't believe it. I went to school, I was completely devastated. I couldn't concentrate. I didn't realize what had happened yet. It's only the next day, on Saturday, when I realized Lisa was gone, that I lost it.

On Saturday, April 27th, I woke up and went downstairs. Didn't really feel like doing nothing. There was a special Tribute to Left Eye on MuchMusic. I watched it and that's right in the middle of the show that I realized I'd never see my Lisa again. I cried and cried and cried. Noone understood even though I was telling them what was wrong. All I wanted was to be alone. But of course that didn't happen. My mom kept screaming at me... I was screaming back... It was total chaos.
During the night, I saw a picture of Lisa at the morgue, in her coffin on a Honduran news website... I can never erase that picture of my mind, never. It totally turned my life around.
I will always love you Left Eye. I'll never forget you. Rest in Peace Angel. You'll always be in my heart. Shine up there. I know you see us all. You're not gone. You are still with us in spirit. We'll meet up again soon, I promise. May you have your peace... I'm from heaven and stars only talk about you...
